Punjab Food Authority Seizes 1500+ Liters of Adulterated Milk

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) disposed of approximately 1,550 liters of adulterated milk and imposed fines totaling Rs 33,000 on the suppliers. An official spokesperson reported on Monday that food safety teams inspected 46 milk-carrying vehicles at various checkpoints. Out of these, milk samples from six vehicles were tested on the spot and found to be contaminated.

The team discarded the adulterated milk and imposed fines accordingly. PFA Director General Asim Javed noted that the contaminated milk was being supplied to hotels and milk shops across the city. Additionally, in Khanewal, more than 210 kg of expired snacks were disposed of following inspections, and the warehouse owners were collectively fined Rs 50,000.
