A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Dubai to Peshawar made an emergency landing due to a technical fault.
According to aviation sources, flight PK-284 experienced a malfunction shortly after takeoff. Following instructions from Dubai air traffic control, the aircraft returned and landed safely after 50 minutes.
Sources reported that the passengers were taken off the plane and transferred to the lounge while the aircraft is being inspected. The flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Peshawar at 9 a.m. today.
A PIA spokesperson stated that the technical issue with the plane at Dubai Airport is being resolved, and flight PK-284 will depart for Peshawar one hour later.
Meanwhile, six flights from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad have been canceled due to administrative issues, and 12 flights are facing delays.
According to the flight schedule, PIA flight PK-832 from Karachi to Jeddah and two private airline flights PF-125 and PF-126 from Islamabad to Karachi have been canceled.
Additionally, PIA flights PK-723 from Lahore to Dubai and PK-261 from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi have also been canceled.
A foreign airline’s flights arriving and departing from Karachi to Istanbul have been delayed by nearly 4 hours.
Flight PK-300 from Islamabad to Karachi has been delayed by 1 hour, while PK-302 from Karachi to Lahore has faced a delay of 4.5 hours.
Flight PK-368 from Islamabad to Karachi is delayed by 6 hours, and PK-303 from Lahore to Karachi is delayed by 4.5 hours.
