The Karachi Traffic Police has announced a detailed traffic plan ahead of Dr. Zakir Naik’s lecture at Bara Dari near Jinnah Bagh. The event, expected to start at 7 PM, is likely to attract a large audience, prompting the authorities to implement special parking arrangements and road closures.
Attendees are advised to park at two designated locations: YMCA Ground and DJ College Ground. From there, they will need to walk to the Polo Ground, the event’s venue.
Several roads leading to the event will be closed to traffic, including Awan Sadar Road and the stretch from Fawara Chowk to Khajoor Chowk. Alternative routes have been suggested for commuters to ease congestion.
Vehicles from I.I. Chundrigar Road and Shaheen Chowk will be diverted to PIDC via Ziauddin Road and Khajoor Chowk. From PIDC, traffic will be rerouted to Club Road and can continue towards Clifton or Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Furthermore, traffic from the Shaheen Complex signal will be directed towards MR Kayani Chowk and Zainab Market, while vehicles from Fawara Chowk will head towards the Awari signal, leading to Shahrah-e-Faisal and Teen Talwar.
Both sides of Sindh Club Chowk to Metropole and Fawara Chowk have been designated as No Parking zones. The Karachi Traffic Police has advised residents and attendees to plan their routes accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
