Plans are underway to provide health insurance to all residents of Sharjah, including the elderly.
His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has expressed his commitment to offering comprehensive health insurance to Sharjah’s residents. During a phone call on the “Direct Line” program, broadcast by Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the Ruler stated that the government is actively working to implement this initiative, despite the high costs involved.
“We received a proposal to provide comprehensive health insurance for all Sharjah residents. I told them that if it’s possible, we will pursue it. God willing, we will achieve this goal,” he said, expressing optimism that this initiative would come to fruition soon.
“It is our responsibility to ensure that residents lead a happy life and to protect them, their children, and the elderly,” he added.
