Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly suffered a foot injury in an accident at Dubai International Airport, according to a statement released by the President’s House on Thursday.
The incident took place late Wednesday night as President Zardari disembarked from his plane upon arrival in Dubai, leading to a fractured foot.
Medical staff immediately transported the president to a hospital, where doctors administered initial treatment and applied a plaster cast. The medical team has indicated that the cast will be required for four weeks to support healing.
Following his treatment, President Zardari was taken to his residence and has been advised to observe complete rest. After the news of President Asif Ali Zardari’s foot injury, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi extended heartfelt prayers for his swift recovery.
“During this time, may he find strength and resilience,” Kundi shared in a post on X. “Our thoughts and prayers are with him, and we look forward to his swift return to serve our nation.”
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sehar Kamran also expressed her concern, wishing Zardari a full and quick recovery. “He is an icon of strength & courage for all of us; his resilience and determination inspire us all,” she posted. “May Allah Almighty bless him with good health and long life, Aameen.”
