IMF Expected to Grill FBR Today on Failing to Collect Rs. 17 Billion from Traders

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation will meet with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) today to discuss its transformation plan and to review data of traders registered under the Tajir Dost Scheme who didn’t pay Rs. 17 billion tax in 4MFY25, sources told ProPakistani.

Talks will also address strategies to ensure tax target compliance.

Sources said the IMF delegation will review the implementation of the track-and-trace system across five sectors. A plan to increase fees on FBR receipts at POS counters will also be introduced.
