State Bank of Pakistan Invites Applications for Job of Director Monetary Policy

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is inviting applications for the position of Director (OG-7) in the Monetary Policy Department, a senior management role based in Karachi.

The position offers a market-based salary and comprehensive benefits package, with the Director directly reporting to the Director/Executive Director.

Educational Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Economics from an HEC-recognized university or a reputable foreign institution is required.
• A PhD in Economics will be preferred.

Age Requirement

• Candidates must be 50 years of age or younger as of the date of advertisement.
• Age relaxation may be granted for PhD holders.

Experience

• At least 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• A deep understanding of monetary policy, policy operations, and macroeconomic developments.
• Strong experience in theoretical and empirical modelling to support policy analysis and formulation.
• Expertise in the application of statistical and econometric techniques for analytical purposes.
