The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Balochistan was informed that 13 out of 65 teachers who had gone abroad for education had obtained foreign citizenship. The committee directed that all expenses incurred for their education be recovered from their guarantors and instructed the filing of FIRs with the support of NADRA and FIA.
The PAC meeting, chaired by Asghar Ali Tareen, was held in the committee room of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. The session conducted a comprehensive review of the appropriation accounts of Balochistan University for the financial years 2019-2021 and examined audit paras for 2022-2023.
Participants included Fazal Qadir Mandokhail, Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Assembly Secretary Tahir Shah Kakar, University of Balochistan Vice Chancellor Zahoor Bazai, and other officials.
During the meeting, Tareen emphasized the critical role of universities and knowledge in shaping the country’s future.
