The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man at Karachi Airport for attempting to travel to Canada using forged travel documents.
FIA officials revealed that the suspect, Muhammad Usman, was caught with a fake Canadian visa on his passport. A forensic report confirmed the visa lacked UV security features.
The suspect, a Punjab Police constable, admitted during interrogation that he had paid PKR 10.5 million to an agent named Nawaz from Sheikhupura for the forged documents.
The case has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation. In separate news, the federal agency has arrested a key suspect in the Greece boat tragedy from Gujrat.
The FIA spokesperson stated that the suspect had taken Rs 2.8 million from Rehman Ali, one of the victims of the tragic incident. After the event, the suspect went into hiding. A case has been filed against him, and an investigation is in progress.
