Islamabad Temperature Drops to Freezing Point Once Again

Islamabad experienced a minimum temperature of 0°C today, as reported by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

This marks a significant drop in temperatures across the country and surrounding regions, with various cities recording freezing or near-freezing conditions.

  • Lahore: 5°C
  • Karachi: 10°C
  • Peshawar: 2°C
  • Quetta: -2°C
  • Gilgit: -6°C
  • Muzaffarabad: 2°C
  • Skardu: -10°C
  • Murree: -1°C
  • Faisalabad: 4°C
  • Multan: 6°C

In the northern areas, temperatures plummeted further, with Leh recording the coldest at -13°C, followed by Astore (-12°C), Gupis (-11°C), and Skardu (-10°C). Other notable readings include Kalam at -8°C and Hunza at -7°C.

In Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded -4°C, Pulwama -5°C, Anantnag -6°C, and Shopian -4°C.

The Meteorological Department has urged residents, particularly in colder regions, to take precautions against harsh weather conditions as temperatures are expected to remain low.
