Overseas Pakistanis Purchase All Residential Plots of New Sector in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced on Tuesday that all 236 residential plots in Islamabad’s Sector C-14 have been successfully auctioned to overseas Pakistanis. These plots, valued at approximately Rs. 60 million per kanal, are expected to generate Rs. 14 billion in revenue within the next ten months.

The CDA opened the auction to both local and overseas investors but prioritized expatriates due to their ability to pay in foreign currency. Over 1,700 applications were received, including around 550 from overseas Pakistanis.

The e-balloting, conducted through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), ensured a transparent process. An official noted that with many applicants unable to secure plots, the CDA could explore additional auctions in other sectors to boost revenue.

Future opportunities include sectors C-13, C-15, Park Enclave, and over 700 plots in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), acquired last year in a land exchange deal. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa oversaw the e-balloting, with Nadra managing the process.

Successful applicants will be listed on the CDA website and social media platforms, while unpaid plots will be reassigned to waitlisted investors. Randhawa thanked participants for their trust and assured them that development in Sector C-14 is ongoing, with plans to expand into new sectors and revive stalled projects.
