Thailand Launches Action Against Pakistanis

Thailand has announced strict measures against Pakistanis attempting to travel using fake documents, as reported by ARY News on Wednesday.

According to details, the Thai Consulate in Karachi has introduced new travel guidelines, emphasizing stringent action against individuals using forged documents to enter Thailand. Applicants for e-visas are now required to submit original and verifiable documents, including authentic airline tickets and hotel reservations.

The consulate has warned that anyone, including travel agents, found submitting fake documents will face blacklisting and severe penalties. The move aims to prevent fraudulent activities and uphold the integrity of the visa process.

In a related incident last October, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration team at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport arrested two passengers attempting to travel abroad with fake documents. The suspects, identified as Nazar Abbas and Umme Salma, were caught with counterfeit visas.

According to an FIA spokesperson, Umme Salma was attempting to travel to Iraq on flight IA-432 with a fake Iraqi visa, while Nazar Abbas was bound for the Turks and Caicos Islands on flight TK-709 with a forged Cuban visa. Both individuals were apprehended, and their attempts were foiled.

These developments underscore the growing focus on combating document fraud and ensuring secure international travel procedures.
