IMF Team Satisfied With Pakistan’s Climate Measures At Federal Level

The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) technical mission has directed provinces to implement federal climate policies and appeared satisfied with the measures adopted at the federal level.

Sources informed ProPakistani that the lender held discussions with Pakistani officials on climate financing, focusing on tagging, tracking, and monitoring green budgeting.

Federal and provincial representatives also briefed the IMF on steps taken so far, with officials from the federation, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa outlining their climate measures. Punjab and Balochistan are scheduled to present their updates tomorrow.
