Dubai Launches Campaign Against Beggars

Dubai Police have initiated an awareness campaign, “Donate Wisely,” aimed at protecting the public from fraudulent beggars and ensuring that charitable donations reach those who are truly in need as Ramadan begins.

Authorities have cautioned residents against falling for deceptive stories from beggars who approach people near streets, mosques, and public spaces. They highlighted that many of these individuals are professional beggars who exploit people’s generosity for personal gain.

Dubai Police have urged the public to donate only through accredited charities and to report any suspicious begging activity immediately. Officials stressed that making responsible donations not only safeguards the community but also guarantees that assistance reaches those who genuinely require support.
