Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated that the provincial government is taking steps to officially celebrate the religious and cultural festivals of minority communities.
In her message on Holi, she emphasized, “Pakistan is a harmonious blend of diverse religious communities where everyone has equal rights and opportunities.”

She highlighted Punjab’s heritage of Sufism, love, and tolerance, ensuring that all communities are treated with respect and freedom.
Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a Punjab where every citizen feels safe, empowered, and equal. She noted that practical measures are being taken for the welfare and protection of minorities, ensuring equal access to education, healthcare, and employment.
Additionally, she announced an increase in grants for minority religious festivals and stressed that safeguarding their lives and properties is a top priority, declaring it a “red line.”
