Electric Bus Service Launched on Fatehjang-Islamabad Route

A new electric bus service has been launched between Fatehjang and Islamabad. It aims to provide a more affordable and environmentally friendly commute for daily passengers, particularly students and employees traveling to the federal capital.

Sardar Faizan Haider, son of the Punjab governor, officially inaugurated the service at the Fatehjang bus terminal. Assistant Commissioner Humaira Shah, PPP Attock President Ashar Hayat Khan, and other party representatives attended the event.

During his address, Haider emphasized that the initiative would help ease transportation issues for residents in the region. He noted that extending electric bus routes from Islamabad to areas like Fatehjang would not only facilitate travel but also contribute to lowering traffic congestion and carbon emissions, offering a more sustainable solution for public transport in the Attock district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ashar Hayat Khan added that discussions had taken place between Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa to explore expanding electric bus services. The focus of those talks included improving connectivity between Fatehjang, Hassanabdal, and Islamabad through the development of a cleaner and more efficient public transit network.
