Elon Musk Reclaims Top Spot as Forbes Releases World’s Billionaires List for 2025

Forbes has released its 2025 World’s Billionaires List, marking a record-high number of billionaires and a surge in global wealth. This year, the ranking includes 3,028 billionaires—the highest since the list began in 1987. Their combined wealth has reached $16.1 trillion, with 15 individuals now holding fortunes exceeding $100 billion.

Elon Musk has reclaimed his title as the world’s richest person, with his fortune soaring to $342 billion—a 75% increase from last year. The rise in Musk’s wealth is tied to Tesla’s stock growth, increased valuations of his artificial intelligence company xAI, and the continued success of SpaceX.

Mark Zuckerberg moved up to the No. 2 spot, with a net worth of $216 billion, while Jeff Bezos ranked third with $215 billion. Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s net worth more than doubled, reaching $5.1 billion, largely due to Trump Media & Technology Group shares and gains from cryptocurrency investments.
