The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has once again closed Lahore’s airspace to commercial traffic amid heightened security concerns, marking a fresh round of disruptions following Indian airstrikes.
According to an official NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued late Wednesday, three key air corridors — 139 J, 165 J, and 186 J — have been closed for 24 hours. The airspace closure affects a wide range of domestic and international routes, forcing airlines to reroute or delay scheduled flights.
The decision to suspend flights comes just hours after Pakistan had reopened its airspace over Lahore, following an earlier closure prompted by elevated threat levels. A CAA spokesperson had confirmed earlier that normal flight operations had resumed, but urged passengers to remain in contact with their airlines due to the evolving situation.
Passengers are advised to closely monitor updates from airlines and the PCAA, as further adjustments to flight schedules remain likely in light of the ongoing escalation.
