The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a spell of rain, thunderstorms, and possible hailstorms across much of the country beginning the night of May 7. This weather activity is attributed to an approaching westerly wave combined with moist air currents entering from the south.
According to the PMD, the weather system is expected to impact the upper and central regions first, gradually extending to the southern parts of the country. The adverse weather conditions are anticipated to persist in several areas with intermittent gaps until May 12.
