Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to begin official visits to Türkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan from today, continuing through May 30, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office.
During the multi-country tour, the Prime Minister will express gratitude to these friendly nations for their support of Pakistan during periods of heightened tensions with India. His engagements will include discussions on bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments.
The Foreign Office further confirmed that on May 29 and 30, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate in an international conference on glaciers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral ties, regional issues, and the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Baku.
