FBR Misses Tax Collection Target By Massive Rs. 1.02 Trillion

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suffered a gigantic shortfall of Rs 1027 billion during first 11 months of current fiscal year.

The tax collection data compiled by the FBR revealed that the tax department has collected 10,213 billion during July-May (2024-25) against the assigned target of Rs 11,240 billion during this period, reflecting a huge shortfall of Rs 1027 billion.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has provisionally collected Rs 904 billion in May 2025 against the assigned target of Rs1110 billion, reflecting a massive shortfall of Rs 206 billion.
