Sui Southern Issues Gas Load Shedding Schedule for Eid ul Adha

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that there will be no gas loadshedding in Sindh, including Karachi, during the Eid ul Adha holidays.

According to an official statement, SSGC will ensure uninterrupted gas supply from June 7 to June 9, covering the entire Eid ul Adha period. The company clarified that the regular gas loadshedding schedule will resume from June 10.

SSGC has confirmed that there will be no gas loadshedding in Sindh, including Karachi, during the three days of Eid ul Adha. The company has temporarily suspended its routine load management to ensure uninterrupted gas supply for both domestic and commercial consumers, aiming to meet the increased demand for cooking and hospitality during the festival.

The detailed schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, June 6 (Pre-Eid): Gas supply will be suspended at midnight for pipeline balancing.
  • Saturday, June 7 (1st Day of Eid): Gas supply will resume at 5:00 AM and continue without interruption throughout the day.
  • Sunday, June 8 (2nd Day of Eid): There will be no interruption in gas supply; continuous supply will be maintained.
  • Monday, June 9 (3rd Day of Eid): Gas will be available round-the-clock until midnight.
  • Tuesday, June 10: The regular gas load shedding and load management schedule will resume.

SSGC’s spokesperson, Salman Ahmed Siddiqui, emphasized that teams are on standby to ensure seamless service and urged customers to use gas responsibly during the holidays. The company’s move is intended to provide relief and convenience to households and businesses during the Eid festivities, especially given the increased need for cooking and gatherings.
