Lahore Records Hottest Day in 18 Years

Lahore experienced searing temperatures on the third day of Eid-ul-Adha, with the mercury soaring to 46 degrees Celsius. This marks one of the highest temperatures recorded in the city in years.

According to Geo News, citing the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the current temperature is the highest in nearly two decades. The last major record was set in 2007, when the temperature at Lahore Airport peaked at 48°C (118.4°F).

This year’s heatwave comes remarkably close to that record. The extreme weather is not limited to Lahore. The heatwave has gripped much of the country, with high temperatures reported in several regions.
