Pakistan is expected to experience its first wave of monsoon rains beginning June 25, 2025, citing the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Anjum Nazir, Deputy Director at the PMD, stated that the monsoon spell will continue until July 2. He explained that Karachi is currently facing extreme heat due to low atmospheric pressure over the Arabian Sea, with “feels like” temperatures possibly reaching up to 50°C.
“Sea breezes are expected to return by tomorrow evening, bringing some relief,” he said. From June 19 onward, cloudy skies and light morning and evening drizzles are also likely in the coastal city.
Elsewhere in the country, hot and dry weather is forecast for most regions over the next 12 hours. However, isolated areas in Northeast Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and parts of Southeast and Eastern Sindh may see dust storms, thunderstorms, or rain.

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, weather conditions are expected to be partly cloudy with chances of rain and thunderstorms in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla.
