Pakistan Oilfields Discovers Hydrocarbons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Pakistan Oilfields Limited (PSX: POL) announced on Friday a big hydrocarbon discovery at the Makori Deep-03 development well, located in the TAL Block in District Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The update was based on information received from MOL (Hungarian Oil and Gas Public Limited Company), the operator of the TAL Block.

The company holds a 25 percent pre-commerciality working interest in the TAL Block. Drilling at Makori Deep-03 began on December 12, 2024, and was completed at a total depth of 3,887 meters.

Post-completion testing revealed daily production of 22.08 million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) of gas and 2,112 barrels of condensate, along with 15 barrels of water, from the Lockhart formation. These results were recorded at a fixed choke size of 32/64″ and a flowing wellhead pressure of 4,744 psi.
