Karachi residents should gear up for another bout of monsoon rainfall, with the second spell likely to reach Sindh by July 5 or 6, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Anjum Nazir Zaigham, Deputy Director at the Met Office, stated that rainfall in Karachi is expected around July 7 or 8, while the city will experience partly cloudy weather in the days leading up to the showers.
In a conversation with SAMAA TV, Zaigham noted that the first monsoon spell brought substantial rainfall, resulting in urban flooding across several key low-lying and congested areas.
Authorities have urged the public to remain cautious and take preventive measures in advance of the upcoming rains to minimize potential disruption and flooding.
