In a major relief for citizens tired of frequent visits to NADRA offices, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has now made its essential services accessible at local Union Councils.
To ease public access, NADRA has launched a new initiative that allows residents to avail themselves of all identity-related services directly from their respective Union Council offices. These services include the issuance and renewal of National Identity Cards (CNICs), Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms), Family Registration Certificates, changes in marital status, cancellation of ID cards, and more.
Initially, the services have been rolled out in Union Councils of Islamabad’s Saidpur, Sihala, Model Town, Koral, I-10/4, Chakwal’s Mureed area, and Gujrat’s Daulat Nagar.
Recently, NADRA also streamlined the CNIC issuance process to reduce long queues. For Karachi residents, the authority expanded its biker service from 3 to 8 units, significantly improving home delivery options for identity card renewals and related services.
Director General Amir Ali Khan stated that residents across all districts of Karachi can now access CNIC renewal and other services through the biker service.
He further noted that to raise awareness about the Pak ID mobile application, a roadshow was held in Karachi, with promotional campaigns launched at universities, schools, and shopping malls. The software of the Pak ID app has also been updated, and all technical issues have been resolved.
