The KSE-100 emerged as the top-performing asset class during the outgoing fiscal year (FY25), with a return of over 60 percent.
The KSE-100 posted returns of 60.15 percent to emerge as the best-performing asset class in FY25, well ahead of the 45 percent returns given by gold.
Returns on T-Bills during FY25 were 21.44 percent. Bank deposits had a return of 12.60 percent, Pakistan Investment Bonds (PIBs) 11.97 percent, Defense Saving Certificates (DSCs) 11.90 percent, while the US dollar against the Pakistani rupee offered returns of 1.95 percent.
Brokerage house Arif Habib Limited attributed this remarkable rally in the KSE-100 to a combination of aggressive monetary easing, improved market liquidity, and the unlocking of fundamental value across key sectors.
