The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has officially released the results for the 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual exams, covering both regular and private candidates in the General Group (Class 10).
Sana Muhammad Idrees from Al-Badr Girls Higher Secondary School claimed the top spot with an impressive score of 89.27%. The second position went to Bushra Muhammad Imran of Mama Indigo School System, who scored 87.73%, while her schoolmate, Haniya Muhammad Yousuf, secured third place with 87.36%.
A total of 10,222 students appeared in the regular General Group exams, including 2,804 boys and 7,418 girls. Out of these, 108 students achieved an A-1 grade, 971 secured an A grade, 2,157 received a B, 2,471 got a C, 863 earned a D, and 29 obtained an E grade.
For the General Group (private), 4,573 candidates appeared — 2,935 males and 1,638 females. Among the successful students, 13 received an A-1 grade, 294 earned an A, 1,020 secured a B, 1,181 got a C, 445 obtained a D, and 18 received an E grade.
Combining regular and private students, the overall pass percentage stood at 65.76%.
A group of 124 students with hearing and speech impairments also took the exams, with 114 passing, marking a high success rate of 91.94%.
Among them, Syed Saif Ali Shah topped the list with 89.64% marks, followed by Hamida Hassan Ansari with 88.45%, and Ziaur Rehman in third place with 86.18%.
All three position holders are students of the Absa School for the Deaf.
