Rupee Rises Against Dollar for Record Seventh Day Following Black Market Crackdown

The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) appreciated by 08 paisa against the US Dollar (USD) in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs 282.87 against the previous day’s closing Rs 282.95.

The rupee’s winning streak against the dollar has now extended to seven days, following a crackdown against the dollar black market.

The price of the Euro decreased by Rs. 3.27 to close at Rs. 323.73 against the last day’s closing of Rs. 327.00, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese yen came down by 02 paisa and closed at Rs. 1.89, whereas a decrease of Rs. 3.46 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs. 374.73 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs. 378.19.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal came down by 02 paisa each to close at Rs. 77.01 and Rs. 75.40, respectively.
