Food Authority Shuts Down Fake Soft Drinks Factory

Following the recent discovery of donkey meat in Islamabad, authorities have now uncovered a factory producing counterfeit cold drinks in Quetta.

The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has uncovered a secret factory on Kachi Baig Kumbarani Road that was manufacturing counterfeit versions of popular cold drinks, including Sting, Sprite, Mountain Dew, Coca-Cola, and Fanta.

During the raid, officials seized thousands of liters of substandard beverages, along with company labels, empty bottles, and filling machines used in the illegal operation. The factory’s products were being distributed not only in Quetta but also to several other districts.

The BFA has sealed the facility, confiscated all fake products, and launched further legal proceedings against the owners. Director-General Waqar Khurshid Alam stressed that the authority will continue to take strict action against anyone endangering public health. He warned that consuming such counterfeit drinks can be hazardous and urged the public to remain vigilant.

The BFA has called on citizens to report any suspicious activities or complaints regarding fake products, promising to take action against those involved in the production and distribution of harmful goods.
