The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has imposed Section 144 in place across 13 districts for a week to ensure public safety during the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
Announced on Monday, the order bans several activities, including riding motorcycles with a passenger, wall chalking, and making provocative speeches.
The affected districts are Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Nowshera, Kurram, Mardan, and Lakki Marwat.
Additional restrictions include barring people from standing on rooftops along procession routes, limiting the movement of Afghan nationals in public areas, and forbidding the display of weapons, aerial firing, loudspeaker use, and fireworks.
The official notice also mentions that people not connected to the events will have limited access to these districts. Authorities have asked everyone to follow the rules and cooperate with the security measures.
