Lahore to Get 15 Modern Sahulat Markets

Punjab Secretary for Price Control Dr. Ehsan Bhutta inspected ongoing construction of Sahulat On-the-Go markets at six sites in Lahore on Sunday, as the provincial government pushes to speed up the project.

The inspection covered locations in Gulshan Ravi, Shadman, Madar-e-Millat, Faisal Town, Raiwind, and Manga Mandi.

He was accompanied by Punjab Sahulat Bazaar Authority Director General and Project Director Roshan Zameer, who briefed him on the progress, along with Consultant for Price Control Maqsood Ahmed.

Dr. Bhutta directed officials to expedite construction and maintain strict, continuous monitoring to ensure timely completion. He said the initiative reflects the Chief Minister’s vision to provide affordable, high-quality food in clean, well-designed markets with modern facilities.

According to officials, a total of 15 Sahulat On-the-Go markets are planned for Lahore. The first phase includes work on seven locations, with the remaining sites to follow.

Once operational, these markets will offer residents a convenient option for purchasing essential items at reasonable prices, while improving market accessibility in key neighborhoods.
