Gilgit Airport Shuts Down Operations Amid Poor Weather; 46 Flights Delayed Nationwide

Adverse weather conditions led to the cancellation of all flights scheduled at Gilgit Airport today, while flight operations across the country faced significant delays.

According to the flight schedule, four flights from Islamabad to Gilgit were canceled. Additionally, 46 flights nationwide experienced delays due to various reasons.

Among the delayed flights, 11 were from Islamabad, 12 from Karachi, 11 from Lahore, 3 from Quetta, and one each from Multan, Skardu, and Peshawar.

International flights were also affected. A private airline’s flight from Islamabad to Dubai was delayed by five hours. Similarly, two private airline flights from Lahore to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi faced delays ranging from 4 to 10 hours. A foreign airline flight from Muscat to Karachi was delayed by four and a half hours.
