According to 24News, the first confirmed case of monkeypox has been detected in Lahore, health officials confirmed on Thursday.

The patient, identified as Rehmat Ali, was admitted to Lahore General Hospital with symptoms consistent with a viral infection. His diagnosis was later confirmed through tests conducted at the Health Department’s reference laboratory.
According to the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, the patient has been placed in isolation and is currently receiving treatment under strict medical supervision.
