Diplomats Walk Out of UN Session as Israeli PM Netanyahu Takes Stage [Video]

Several delegates staged a walkout in protest as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the podium at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80).

The move came in response to Netanyahu’s participation despite an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant issued against him over alleged war crimes in Gaza.

The ICC warrant has intensified international criticism of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, where rights groups and humanitarian organizations have raised concerns about civilian casualties and violations of international law.

Netanyahu’s presence at the UN sparked sharp reactions from member states, many of whom argue that leaders facing such serious allegations should not be given a platform at the world body.

The walkout served as a symbolic act of dissent, highlighting the deep divisions within the international community over the ongoing conflict in Gaza and broader Middle East policy.
