Karachi Starts Repair Work on 106 Roads

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has announced the launch of rehabilitation work on 106 roads across the city, with completion targeted within the next 60 days.

During a late-night inspection of ongoing projects on Saturday, Wahab told reporters that the administration is committed to ensuring that citizens’ tax money is used exclusively for improving the city’s infrastructure and development.

“We have initiated this drive and will see it through. Road restoration will also extend to seven other districts,” the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) representative said while overseeing work along Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The mayor emphasised that the city government prioritises concrete measures for public welfare, distinguishing its approach from previous administrations. “In Musharraf’s time, projects in Karachi were executed with political branding, with Mustafa Kamal’s pictures displayed on them. Our focus is only on serving the people,” Wahab noted.
