The Babusar Top Road and Naran–Jhalkhad route have been shut down for all kinds of traffic following heavy snowfall in the region.
According to a police spokesperson, travelers and tourists heading toward Gilgit have been advised to use the alternate Silk Road route due to extremely low temperatures and slippery conditions.
Mansehra Police have also temporarily removed check posts from Gatidas, Jhalkhad, and Besar to ensure the safety of personnel amid the harsh weather. The decision was made after snowfall made the area inaccessible.
Additionally, all hotels and restaurants between Barwai and Babusar Top have been closed until conditions improve.
However, authorities confirmed that travel remains open from Naran up to Barwai for now.
