Punjab Releases Rs. 3.3 Billion for Monthly Stipend of PG Trainee Doctors

The Punjab government has released Rs3.3 billion for the payment of monthly stipends to postgraduate (PG) trainee doctors, ending their months-long wait for pending dues.

According to the Finance Department, all PG trainee doctors across Punjab will now receive their stipends along with arrears.

In addition, the department has released Rs925 million to the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) to cover medicines, utility bills, staff salaries, and operational expenses.

Officials confirmed that the allocated budget has been made available online to the respective departments for immediate disbursement.

This financial release is expected to provide much-needed relief to trainee doctors and ensure smooth hospital operations across the province.
