Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has decided to set up Panagahs/Sarai facilities for attendants of patients in all major hospitals of Peshawar, including the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
According to officials, the initiative aims to provide safe, clean, and affordable accommodation to families accompanying patients, who often struggle with lodging during long hospital stays.
The Chief Minister has directed authorities to begin work on the project as soon as possible, ensuring construction and operational planning start without delay.
The government expects the Sarai facilities to ease the burden on low-income families and improve the overall hospital support system.
The upcoming Panagahs will offer basic amenities, resting areas, and essential services, allowing attendants to stay close to their loved ones receiving treatment.
The provincial government says the step reflects its commitment to public welfare and improving healthcare-related services across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
