Lahore Police have dismissed two constables for recording a TikTok video inside the Model Town police station during duty hours, terming the act a serious violation of discipline and the Police Order.
The inquiry found that Constables Shahid and Usman filmed the video while in uniform and within official premises, and the clip later went viral online.
Senior officers said the behaviour was unprofessional and unacceptable. Following the investigation, both men were removed from service, and a formal dismissal report has been filed at the Model Town police station.
A police spokesperson said officers are expected to observe strict discipline while in uniform, adding that police stations are “not places for social media performances” and that any misconduct would lead to strict departmental action.
In a separate case, an FIR has been registered against Constable Muhammad Aqeel Noor, posted as a computer operator in the SDPO Muslim Town Circle office.
Constable Aqeel is accused of running a social media account that shared controversial posts against the government and state institutions, as well as material linked to a banned outfit.
According to officials, a technical audit confirmed that Aqeel operated the account himself. His posts were described as sensitive and harmful, prompting action under Section 155-C of the Police Order at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station.
Senior officers said the force would not allow any member to use social media in a way that damages state institutions and that further action will follow the law.
