Turkiye has completed preparations to establish a military drone production facility in Pakistan, Bloomberg reported, marking a major expansion in defence cooperation between the two countries.
As Reported by bloomberg, the factory will assemble drones using components exported from Turkiye, including stealth-capable and long-range models.
The initiative is part of Ankara’s broader plan to involve Pakistan in its fifth-generation fighter aircraft programme.
Under an ongoing joint production agreement, Turkiye is also partnering with Pakistan on the construction of naval combat vessels for the Pakistan Navy and has already upgraded dozens of F-16 fighter jets.
Turkiye’s defence exports have surged by 30% in the past 11 months, reaching $7.5 billion in 2025.
Turkish Aerospace Industries, which opened its first office in Pakistan in 2019, remains a key supplier, providing 30 ATA and 1,229 helicopters under a $1.5 billion contract.
Officials said the joint ventures reflect Pakistan’s growing military capabilities and underscore the strength and reliability of its strategic partnership with Turkiye.
Earlier this month, Turkiye’s Minister of Energy Alparslan Bayraktar visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters, where he met Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, according to ISPR.
Both sides discussed expanding Pak–Turkiye cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, and reaffirmed commitment to deeper strategic collaboration for regional stability.
