The Karachi administration has announced a temporary ban on the entry of dumpers and heavy vehicles into the city.
According to the official notification, heavy traffic will not be allowed to enter the city between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. The restriction will remain in effect for two months.
Under the new rules, heavy vehicles will be permitted to travel from the Super Highway to the Karachi Industrial Area only.
Additionally, heavy traffic will be allowed to move via the National Highway through Warehouse Chowrangi, Yunus Chowrangi, and Daud Chowrangi up to Jam Sadiq Bridge.
Other permitted routes for heavy vehicles include Northern Bypass to Pracha Chowk, Siemens Chowrangi, Northern Bypass to Gulbai, Mauripur to Karachi Port, and Link Road from Kathore to Sassi Toll Plaza.
Authorities have emphasized that these measures aim to ease congestion within the city and ensure smoother traffic flow during daytime hours.
