Cases of Super Flu AH3 Reportedly Confirmed in Rawalpindi

Health authorities have reported cases of Super Flu (Influenza AH3) in the Rawalpindi division, prompting officials to intensify surveillance, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

According to the Health Department, the situation remains under control, and the spread of the virus is currently limited. During the ongoing month, health teams screened 22 suspected patients, confirming four positive cases of the AH3 strain.

Officials reported three cases in Rawalpindi and one case in Murree. All affected patients recovered fully after receiving timely medical treatment.

The Health Department placed the AH3 virus under strict monitoring due to its severe nature. Authorities also conducted contact tracing, identifying one secondary positive case among close contacts.

Despite this, officials emphasized that no widespread transmission has occurred in the Rawalpindi district so far.

Health authorities urged citizens to follow preventive measures, including maintaining physical distance when experiencing flu-like symptoms, washing hands regularly, and observing proper hygiene to curb further spread of the virus.
