On the first day of 2026, gold prices in Pakistan fell again, in line with a decline in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 2,400, settling at Rs. 454,562, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined, falling by Rs. 2,058 to Rs. 389,713.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, gold prices had already seen a decrease, with the per tola rate dropping by Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 456,962.
Internationally, gold prices slipped by $24, reaching $4,322 per ounce (including a $20 premium).
Silver prices in the local market also moved lower, decreasing by Rs. 83 to Rs. 7,635 per tola.
