Gold prices in Pakistan reached record highs on Monday, following strong gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs. 7,700 to reach Rs. 480,962.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 412,347 after an increase of Rs. 6,602, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold per tola had reached Rs. 473,262, gaining Rs. 3,700 during the day.
The international rate of gold rose by $77 to $4,586 per ounce, with a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also surged, increasing by Rs. 430 to Rs. 8,895 per tola, marking a new all-time high.
