Soneri Bank Limited has appointed Ahsan Mushahid Siddiqui as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, with effect from April 1, 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
According to a notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the decision was approved by the bank’s Board of Directors in its 214th meeting held on January 29, 2026. Mr. Siddiqui will replace Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai, whose employment contract is set to expire on March 31, 2026
The appointment is subject to clearance by the State Bank of Pakistan under the Fit and Proper Test requirements applicable to senior banking executives..
In the same meeting, the board placed on record its appreciation for the services rendered by the outgoing President and CEO and conveyed best wishes for his future endeavors
Soneri Bank informed the stock exchange that the change in leadership is part of routine succession planning and has been communicated to relevant regulators, including the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
