The Federal Board of Revenue has stepped up efforts to recover outstanding taxes from Bahria Town by announcing the auction of another major property, as the total recovery target linked to the developer has reached Rs. 26 billion.

According to the details, the latest auction will involve 527 kanals and 10 marlas of land located in Tehsil Murree, which is scheduled to be auctioned on February 16 as part of enforcement proceedings.

Earlier, the Federal Board of Revenue successfully auctioned a Bahria Town plot located on Park Road, Islamabad, depositing Rs. 2.05 billion into the national exchequer.

The tax authority had also issued a public notice last week regarding the auction of a property linked to Bahria Town Tower in Karachi, signaling an expansion of recovery actions across multiple cities.

FBR officials said the sale, purchase and transfer of seized properties belonging to Bahria Town in Karachi have been banned without prior approval from the tax authority. Any transaction carried out without FBR consent will be treated as invalid.

According to officials, objections or claims related to the seized properties can be submitted to the Large Taxpayer Office in Islamabad for review under existing tax laws.
