The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has finalized special arrangements to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Sehri and Iftari throughout Ramadan.
Speaking to the media at the Lahore Press Club, LESCO Chief Engineer Ramzan Butt said that all necessary measures have been completed to provide consistent power during the holy month. He assured consumers that no load-shedding would take place during the critical hours of Sehri and Iftari.
He noted that the company had already successfully maintained uninterrupted electricity supply during Basant and similar arrangements have now been implemented for Ramadan to facilitate citizens observing the fast.
The LESCO chief explained that load-shedding during the summer season is often linked to electricity theft and increased line losses. However, he expressed optimism that improved management and enforcement would help prevent such issues this year, reducing the likelihood of outages caused by system losses.
Authorities say the initiative aims to provide relief to residents during Ramadan by ensuring a stable power supply at times of peak household demand.
