Gold prices in Pakistan surged sharply on Saturday, with the rate per tola rising by Rs. 7,000 to reach Rs. 526,962, tracking gains in the international market.
According to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 10 gram gold also increased by Rs. 6,001 to Rs. 451,784 during the day.
In the global market, gold prices climbed by $70 per ounce to reach $5,042, including a premium of $20, providing upward momentum to local rates.
The increase follows a decline on Friday, when gold prices had dropped by Rs. 8,600 per tola to settle at Rs. 519,962, indicating continued volatility in the market.
In contrast, silver prices moved in the opposite direction, falling by Rs. 105 to Rs. 8,219 per tola in the domestic market.
